When is Premier League Darts 2025
The Premier League Darts 2025 schedule began on Thursday 6th February 2025, continuing with the 2022 format.Each night of the Premier League Darts schedule is a mini tournament, where the players compete in a knockout bracket, starting with four 11-leg quarter-finals. The winners of each bracket progress to the semi-finals and the winners of the semi-finals then progress to the final, where a winner is determined.
This format means that every match counts in the Premier League table, with five points awarded to the winner, three to the runner-up and two to each of the losing semi-finalists each night.
The top four players on the table on night 16 in Sheffield, which falls on the 22nd of May, will progress to the 19-leg semi-final play-offs, where the winners will face off in the final.
The final, which is scheduled to be held at London’s O2 Arena on Thursday 29th May, will be held over 21 legs, with the winner crowned as the Premier League Darts 2025 champion.
What's at stake?
The Premier League Darts champion will earn a £270,000 cheque, while the runner-up will claim £125,000 in prize money.
The losing semi-finalists will take home £85,000 each, fifth place will be paid £75,000, sixth place will take £70,000, seventh place earns £65,000 and eighth place will be paid £60,000. The winner of each knockout tournament will also collect a £10,000 bonus payment for the night.
Alongside a title and heavy purse, the esteemed winner will gain status in the darts universe and may see an improvement in their Order of Merit ranking.

Beginning in 2005, Premier League Darts is a tournament that is played weekly from February until May each year with eight of the best darts players in the world. Once dominated by darts superstar Phil Taylor, the competition is fierce and now produces a new winner almost every year.At the end of the 2024 Premier League Darts, sixteen nine-dart finishes had been thrown in the tournament over the years – a nine-darter is the best possible outcome in a game of darts, which will elicit two resounding 180s and a place in the metaphorical darts hall of fame.
While the tournament has been around for a few years, it’s had many iterations in its time from starting with seven players to starting with ten and moving from UK-only venues to becoming a European sensation. The current 2025 Premier League Darts contest is played under the 2022 format, with eight players in a repeated knockout format.

The current favourite is none other than Luke ‘The Nuke’ Littler, who is the current title holder after his breakout win in 2024, and the current World Series winner.
Luke Humphries is a steady second, following his performances in recent competitions, and Michael van Gerwen is currently third favoured to win, having won back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023 and showing a standout performance at Ally Pally in the World Darts Championship final.
