Usyk v Dubois 2: live boxing. Find out fight details, the undercard and what to expect

Oleksandr Usyk v Daniel Dubois 2: the rematch. One will be crowned as the Unified Heavyweight Champion of the world, while the other will be left beltless on the canvas.

In their initial (somewhat contentious) step into the ring in August 2023, Usyk won in a ninth-round stoppage. In the fight, Dubois threw a controversial punch in the fifth round that the referee deemed a low blow, giving Usyk four minutes to recover. Dubois called his punch ‘a gift from the Gods’, and his trainer, Don Charles, expressed disappointment at Usyk for acting up to gain an advantageous recovery time. Usyk and his team took offense to Dubois’s phrasing, with Usyk commenting that Dubois ‘Should not have said it’.

So, this time around, Dubois is looking for revenge – and in front of his home crowd, no less. Since then, Dubois has fought and won three times, defeating Jarrell Miller, Fillip Hgrovic and most recently, Anthony Joshua when the Brit challenged Dubois for his IBF title. Usyk, on the other hand, has fought and won against ‘Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury twice since his last dance in the ring with Dubois.

Both fighters are ready. The world is waiting. The only thing left to say is, ‘Let’s get ready to rumble’!

Who is the favourite to win Usyk v Dubois 2?

According to current odds, Usyk is the clear favourite to defeat Dubois. Tony Bellew, former professional cruiserweight boxer, believes that while Dubois is strong, fast and has proven himself time and time again, Usyk has the upper hand in this bout.

This time around, Usyk will defend all his belts against challenger Dubois. Usyk holds the WBA (Super), WBC, IBO and The Ring titles. Dubois holds just one belt: the IBF, following Usyk’s vacation of the belt and his Undisputed Heavyweight Champion title last year, meaning that both fighters have the chance to walk away as the Unified Heavyweight Champion.

Who is the current Undisputed Heavyweight Champion?

At the minute, there is no Undisputed Heavyweight Champion, but the last person to hold the esteemed title was Usyk.

Usyk is the only boxer to hold the title of Undisputed Heavyweight Champion in the new four-belt era. To be re-crowned as Undisputed Heavyweight Champion, he'll need to win the IBF belt which is currently held by Dubois and then face off Joeseph Parker to challenge Parker’s interim WBO Champion title. If Dubois wins, he’ll also need to face Parker to win the WBO belt.

A mandate from the WBO means that the winner of Usyk v Dubois 2 will have to face Parker next as the WBO mandatory challenger.
