BOGOF drinks if you bring a friend to the England game this weekend

Rugby fans can enjoy buy one get one free drinks at over 900 Greene King Sport pubs if they bring a friend to watch the semi-final game this Saturday.

Following their hard-fought victory over Fiji last weekend, England will now face South Africa in the semi-final, with the team hoping to go all the way for the first time in 20 years to repeat their 2003 triumph.

Widely praised for its team spirit and friendliness, rugby is the perfect occasion for fans to come together and enjoy the matchday atmosphere in the comfort of the pub. As such, the pub company and brewer is encouraging fans to bring their friends to cheer on the team to victory this Saturday, offering them buy one get one free drinks in the process.

For one hour before the semi-final game, which takes place this Saturday 21 October at 8pm, customers who use the codeword “mate’s rates” can get the offer on a wide range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks to enjoy with their friends.

There are over 60 drink options to choose from, including brands such as Greene King IPA, Ice Breaker, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Heineken, Bombay Sapphire, El Mazo Tempranillo Rose, Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey, Absolut Vodka and more.

Michelle West, Head of Marketing for Greene King Sport, said: “Momentum is really building ahead of this weekend’s semi-final as the whole nation prepares to get behind the England team as they face South Africa on Saturday.

“Rugby is all about the team spirit, so it doesn’t matter if your friends are hardcore sports fans or they’re just along for the atmosphere, everyone is welcome.
