Whether you need to catch up on your lecture notes or want to put the final touches to your presentation, pop into your nearest Greene King pub , grab a seat and work with us in warm and welcoming surroundings. From great pubs in London to the best Greene Kings in Manchester  we've got the perfect places to work and great co-working spaces for you... plus a frosty pint when you've finished for the day.

What is a co-working space?

A traditional co-working space is an open office where workers can 'hire' a desk for a day (also known as a 'hot desk'), and work alongside other people in a professional environment. Co-working spaces can be found in most major cities, with meeting rooms for larger groups, seating areas to relax and often drink facilities.

If you're a co-working space regular, you'll be all too familiar with the standard desks and places to work– the pinging sounds of many laptops and the chatter of people on Teams meetings. So why not change things up next time you're hunting for a co-working space near you, and head to one of our inviting Greene King pubs instead?

Why would you want to work in the pub?

More importantly, why wouldn't want you to work in the pub? For starters, you won't need to empty your wallet or purse to grab a seat and work at a Greene King pub – we'd rather you save your hard-earned cash for a bite to eat from our delicious food menus  or a refreshing drink when you need a little break. We've also got plenty of space for you AND your loved ones, so if you feel like working on a project with a mate or quickly catching up on your emails while your kids eat, we've got you covered.

Do I need to book a co-working space at a Greene King pub?

Everyone's welcome at Greene King pubs, laptop or not! If you want to drop by to do a little work, you don't need to book a space at our pubs. All we'd ask is that you check with the staff when you arrive, and be considerate about where you sit. If you're working alone for example, we'd appreciate it if you sat a smaller table or even at the bar if there's space available.

What should you take to a co-working space?

If you're travelling to and from any co-working space, you want to pack as light as possible – especially if you'll be jumping onto trains, pushing your way through underground queues or hopping on and off buses. Leave all your extra wires and desk accessories at home and just stick to your laptop, a notebook and head phones if you need to jump onto an online meeting. Most of our pubs have a plug handy, but you might want to charge your tech before you leave, especially if you feel like working outside in one of our sunny beer gardens – how's that for a co-working space upgrade?
