Veganuary: enjoy some plant-based perfection at Greene King Pubs

A new year is upon us once again, bringing with it an opportunity for self-reflection, goal-setting and a fresh start. If your New Year’s resolution has anything to do with your health, animal welfare, or the environment, you may have heard of Veganuary, an annual campaign that encourages people to enjoy more plant-based food during the month of January.

However, if you think meat-free means flavour-free, then think again! Plant-based food doesn’t have to be boring (not if we have anything to do with it). So, whether you’re planning on giving Veganuary a go for the first time or you’re just looking for somewhere with plenty of delicious vegan and vegetarian options, Greene King Pubs has you covered.

Why Veganuary?

In short, Veganuary is a month-long challenge run by the non-profit organisation of the same name, inviting people around the world to start the year by going vegan for January. Some do it for the animals, others use it as a fun way to get more fruits and veggies into their diet. And since veganism is more popular than ever, Veganuary sees an increasing number of participants each year. If you want to add to the numbers, look no further than Greene King Pubs.

How we support Veganuary at Greene King

The best thing about Veganuary is that anyone can join in (including us), and you don’t have to strive for perfection! Going strictly plant-based may not be achievable for some, and that’s OK – you could participate in Veganuary by doing Meat Free Mondays. One thing’s for sure, eating out certainly doesn’t have to be an issue; not when you can enjoy a whole host of delicious plant-based and vegetarian options at a Greene King Pub near you. Our menus feature plenty of plant-based options, perfect for making your Veganuary journey a breeze, because let’s face it, vegan food has come a long way, and we want to celebrate it in all its flavourful glory.
