Tingly Ted’s and Hungry Horse launch nationwide ‘Bear Hunt’, hiding free meals behind special beer mats

  • Hungry Horse has teamed up with Ed Sheeran’s hot sauce brand, Tingly Ted’s, to spice up the nation’s mid-week with 5,000 free meals
  • From 17th November, for one week only, Hungry Horse pubs nationwide will be taking part in a ‘Bear Hunt’, with 2,000 special beer mats unlocking a free meal from a brand-new menu. The remaining 3,000 will be available to win online
  • Dishes on the menu include The Tingly Tedster burger, Tingly Ted’s Wings ‘N’ Things, and Tingly Ted’s Crispy Chicken Nachos

This Autumn, Hungry Horse and Tingly Ted’s are spicing up the nation’s midweek with some special new dishes, designed to bring a tingle of excitement to weeknights, and it all kicks off with a nationwide ‘Bear Hunt’. 

From Monday 17th November, for one week only, over 5,000 special ‘bear’ mats will be stocked in all 213 Hungry Horse pubs across the country. All will contain QR codes with 2,000 of them unlocking a super special prize meaning lucky diners will be able to claim free meal from the brand-new Tingly Ted’s menu. Let the bear hunt begin! The remaining 3,000 free meals will be given away online so keep your eyes peeled on the Hungry Horse and Tingly Ted’s social channels.

With new research from Tingly Ted’s revealing that seven in ten Brits (70%) find their midweek evenings predictable or repetitive, Tingly Ted’s and Hungry Horse are setting out to change that, turning dull weeknights into something worth hunting for with a fun ‘Bear Hunt’ and a bold new menu to get Brits off the sofa. The new menu features The Tingly Tedster Burger, Tingly Ted’s Wings ‘N’ Things (which includes Chicken Wings, Chicken Strips and Impossible™ Nuggets) and Tingly Ted’s Crispy Chicken Nachos. 

The research shows that almost two-thirds of us (59%) eat the same midweek meals on repeat, whilst four in ten (41%) spend our weeknights just scrolling on our phones. Just a quarter (28%) regularly seek out new experiences during the week, but two-thirds (67%) say they could be tempted to mix things up, particularly by something unexpected, spontaneous, or a free meal out.
