Say yes to the gift of giving: donate your toys this christmas
Here’s how you can support children in your community at Hungry Horse
- Hungry Horse invites communities to ‘say yes’ to giving this Christmas with fifth annual UK wide Toy Boxing donation scheme
- The brand aims to beat previous record of 29,000 toy donations
Hungry Horse is launching its Christmas toy donation initiative for a fifth consecutive year, inviting guests to say yes to giving back and aiming to donate more toys than ever before to families who need it most.
The scheme, which has seen more than 60,000 presents donated since it began in 2021, is designed to provide gifts to those in need while helping parents declutter their homes by putting new and preloved toys to good use. The scheme is a simple way to say yes to kindness and community this festive season.
Last year, research from the pub brand revealed nearly one in five UK parents (18%) knew a child who wouldn’t receive a present on December 25th - an estimated 2.2m children.
As part of its Toy Boxing initiative, Hungry Horse is opening donation stations in more than 200 pubs across the UK between 12 November and 19 December, ensuring donated toys arrive with the children who need them most in time for the big day.
To get involved, guests simply need to head to their local Hungry Horse pub and drop any preloved, new or unused toys in the designated donation stations in pub.
Pubs will then supply the donated toys to a nominated local charity, which will provide them to those in need within the community in the run-up to Christmas.
William Botterill, Head of Integrated Marketing at Hungry Horse, said: “At Hungry Horse, we’re all about supporting families, especially at Christmas when it can be difficult to get by financially.
“We’ve been working towards that goal every Christmas year since 2021 through our annual Toy Boxing initiative. Last year, we were so proud to donate almost 30,000 toys to those in need – and this year we’re aiming to go even bigger and better.
“Together, we want to make sure as many children as possible receive a gift this festive season and spread the true spirit of Christmas throughout our communities, because at Hungry Horse, there’s always room to say yes to helping others.”
