Nick Mackenzie


Nick joined Greene King in May 2019 from Merlin Entertainments plc where he spent 17 years, most recently managing director of Midway Attractions, the largest division within the group. Nick started his career in pubs at Bass and Allied and held a non-executive director role at Daniel Thwaites PLC before joining Greene King.

Richard Smothers


Richard joined Greene King in 2017 from Mothercare plc where he was CFO for three years. Prior to this he was director of group finance at Rexam plc and has also held a number of senior finance roles during 14 years at Tesco plc.

Phil Thomas


Phil joined Greene King in March 2017 with extensive FMCG experience from Reckitt Benckiser and P&G. Prior to his appointment at Greene King, he spent 10 years at RB in a range of senior Marketing, Country General Management (UK and China) and Global Category leadership roles. Before this, Phil spent 15 years at P&G in numerous marketing and sales roles across the UK, USA and various European markets.

Wayne Shurvinton


Wayne joined Greene King in September 2018 from Yum Brands where he was chief customer officer, UK and Europe at Pizza Hut.  Prior to this he worked in a number of roles at KFC in the UK and the Middle East. Wayne started his career in operational management in retail.

Matt Starbuck


Matt joined Greene King in August 2018 from Produce World where he was group managing director. Previously with United Biscuits and Entenmanns in brand marketing roles, Matt has extensive commercial leadership experience in different supply chains including  Glanbia, Tulip and Bakkavor within the UK food sector.

 

Andrew Bush


Andrew joined Greene King in 2017 from Brakes Group where he was group human resources director for five years. Prior to this, he was HR director at Argos. Before that he held a variety of senior HR roles in the Kingfisher Group, including group reward director and head of HR for Superdrug.

Nick Elliot


Nick joined Greene King in 2015 as interim property services director focusing on the Spirit integration before taking up the post of group property director in 2018. Prior to joining Greene King, Nick worked in the leisure retail sector for Mitchells & Butlers and a private property development company as technical director.
