Using your discount in the Greene King App

Terms & Conditions

• General

  1. All Team Members must comply with the Terms & Conditions set out below. Any contravention of these Terms & Conditions will result in immediate suspension of that Team Member being included in the scheme.
  2. Any abuse or misuse of the Team Member discount scheme by a Team Member will be treated as potential gross misconduct and could result in the discount being withdrawn from the Team Member.
  3. Greene King reserves the right to withdraw the offer without notice.
  4. Your Team Member discount will be withdrawn should you leave Greene King.

• Team member presenting the team member discount voucher

  1. The Team Member Discount Voucher can be used in any Greene King managed pub as payment for food and drink.
  2. The Team Member Discount Voucher can be used in the Greene King Beer Café shop to purchase bottled and canned beers for personal consumption off-premises only.
  3. The maximum annual discount per Team Member using this scheme is £1,980 (based on an annual spend limit of £6,000).
  4. The Team Member using their Team Member Discount Voucher must not be on duty at the time.
  5. The Team Member must be a member of the party in order to present a Team Member Discount Voucher and must be present for the duration of the account (including being present at the time the account is opened to the time the account is closed).
  6. The Team Member must present ID at the time that they are presenting their Team Member Discount Voucher. For a Greene King managed pub this may be in the form of a photo ID or a credit/debit card that displays the same name as the voucher. For the Greene King Beer Café shop this must be a photo ID that displays the same name as the voucher.
  7. The Team Member (or a member of their accompanying party) must pay using a credit/debit card, Apple pay, Android pay or PayPal (if using the order and pay App) when redeeming their Team Member Discount Voucher. Note: Cash payments or Gift cards cannot be used as part of this discount redemption.
  8. When using a Team Member Discount Voucher it must be presented prior to or at the time of paying the bill.
  9. Gratuities cannot be discounted by using the Team Member Discount Voucher. These should be paid separately.
  10. The Team Member Discount Voucher can only be redeemed in the month of validity.
  11. The Team Member Discount Voucher cannot be used against the sale of Gift Cards, cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes, or other tobacco related products.
  12. If you are using the Team Member Discount Voucher for food and drink while staying in a Greene King hotel, please ensure you pay your bill at the time of consumption as a bill posted to your room can not be discounted later.
  13. It is not permitted to use a Team Member Discount Voucher for work expenses that will be subsequently claimed for via Greene King.
  14. The Team Member Discount Voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount.

• Team member processing the team member discount voucher

  1. A member of the management team must process all Team Member Discount Vouchers presented.
  2. The member of the management team processing the voucher must check the ID of the Team Member presenting their voucher. For a Greene King managed pub this may be a photo ID or a credit/debit card displaying the same name as recorded on the voucher. For the Greene King Beer Café shop this must be a photo ID that displays the same name as the voucher. If no valid ID can be presented, then the Team Member is not entitled to the discount.
  3. Team Members must not process their own Team Member Discount Voucher via the tills.
  4. Under no circumstances is it permissible to use a Team Member Discount Voucher to: (a) resolve a customer complaint; or (b) give discount to any person other than the Team Member presenting the voucher and the group they are with.
  5. Discount must be applied at the time the bill is paid (by credit/debit card, Apple pay or Android pay only. Cash or gift card payments are not permitted). It is not permitted to re-open a bill, void the payment, and retrospectively apply a Team Member Discount Voucher.
