Frequently asked questions
- You sign up, perform at a local pub heat, and if you impress the judges and audience and win, you could move on to regional finals and even the grand final!
- Prizes vary by stage; you will receive a Jack Daniel’s and Coke Goodie bag if you win the regional finals and a grand prize of £10K cash and others if you win the finals.

- Only original songs are allowed in the competition. We’re all about showcasing your own sound and creativity: no covers, no karaoke, just your own music.
- You’ll need to bring your own instruments and any essential gear. Some pubs may provide a basic PA system and microphones, but this can vary. The pub you’re performing at will confirm exactly what’s available.
- Performance times vary but typically range from 15 to 20 minutes per artist.
- No, the competition is completely free to enter.
- Absolutely! Feel free to bring friends and family to cheer you on.
- If you need to cancel, please let the pub know at least one week in advance so they can offer your slot to another artist. Late cancellations might mean you miss your chance to take part.

- You’ll hear directly from the pub to confirm your slot. Either way, you’ll receive communication to let you know the outcome, so keep an eye on your emails or messages.
- Yes, artists from outside the local area are welcome to enter and perform, but travel arrangements are your responsibility.

- By entering this promotion, you are deemed to have accepted, and will be bound by, these terms and conditions.
- This competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over only. Employees of Greene King, their families, agencies, or anyone else professionally connected with this competition are not eligible to enter. Valid ID may be requested at any time as proof of age.
- Entrants must:
- Sign up by completing the form at https://www.greeneking.co.uk/live-at-your-local/untapped
- Be able to provide their own equipment to facilitate their act and cover all associated expenses throughout the competition.
- Perform original music only. Any acts wishing to perform cover versions will be unable to participate.
- Provide Seven days’ notice of cancellation prior to their performance date if they become unable to participate in any stage of the competition
- Entrants’ participation will be confirmed by the manager of the pub either by email or by telephone. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the entrants using the details provided on the sign-up form. However, if a response has not been received within 48 hours, or if the selected entrant is ineligible, otherwise in breach of these terms and conditions, or unable to take up their place in the competition for any other reason, we reserve the right to select an alternative entrant using the same process referred to in these terms and conditions.
- In-pub competitions will take place on 8th August 2025. One winner per pub will be selected by audience vote. In the case of a tie, the winner will be chosen at random.
- Pub level winners will progress to one of up to twenty regional finals, at a venue to be determined nearer the time. Regional finals will take place between 21st August to 25th August 2025.
- The seven regional winners will be chosen by a panel of judges, by majority vote. At least one of the judges will be independent and in the case of a tie for 7th place, the independent judge will have the deciding vote as to who advances to the national final. The judges’ decision will be final and binding. The winner of each individual regional final will be announced on the day of that respective event.
- The national final will be held on 13th September 2025 at The George, 75-77 Borough High Street, Southwark, Greater London, England, SE1 1NH.
- The overall winner will be chosen by a panel of judges, by majority vote. At least one of the judges will be independent and in the case of a tie, the independent judge will have the deciding vote. The judges’ decision will be final and binding.
- The prizes:
- Each in-pub winner (one winner per pub) will receive a place in the regional final
- Each winner of a regional final (one winner per regional final) will receive a place in the national final and a Jack Daniel’s and coke goodie bag (Bucket hat, Sticker Pack, Plectrum, Tote bag).
- One overall national winner will win:
- A spot to perform at Pub In The Park 2026 (date and location to be confirmed)
- A live to vinyl experience at Metropolis Studios in London
- £10,000 cash prize
- The Promoter reserves the right to amend the voting processes outlined above ahead of any competitions taking place. Should any amendments occur, these will be updated on this page.
- Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winner/s throughout the duration of the competition using the details provided on entry. If a selected winner is unavailable or unreachable, or otherwise in breach of these terms and conditions, or unable to take up the prize for any other reason, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner using the same process referred to above in these terms and conditions.
- The Promoter accepts no responsibility for failed delivery of prizes due to the provision of incorrect contact details by the entrant.
- The winner agrees to the passing of their contact details to, and to being contacted by, Greene King Brewing and Retailing Ltd to arrange their prize and to discuss any specific requirements.
- The terms and conditions of any third-party supplier will also apply to the prize where applicable. If there is a conflict between third party terms and conditions and these terms and conditions, these shall take precedence.
- The prizes are non-transferable and cannot be sold or auctioned. No cash or other alternative to the prizes will be offered except in the event of unforeseen circumstances, in which case the Promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value than the original.
- No responsibility will be accepted by Greene King nor any of its staff, agents or partners for any loss or damage to any personal equipment or possessions at any stage of the competition, unless caused by the deliberate acts or omissions, or negligence, of Greene King and save to the extent that such responsibility cannot be excluded by law.
- The Promoter reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to verify the, including but not limited to, proof of identity and/or age, as required, and to withdraw a prize or disqualify an entrant, where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or otherwise where an entrant has gained advantage in participating in the promotion or has won using fraudulent means.
- The Promoter's decision is binding in all matters relating to this competition, and no correspondence shall be entered into.
- Owing to exceptional circumstances outside its reasonable control and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition or these terms and conditions at any time but will always endeavour to minimize the effect to participants to avoid undue disappointment.
- To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter accepts no liability for any damage, loss or injury suffered (including loss of opportunity) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way due to entering this competition or taking up a prize. The Promoter is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions.
- Entrants will retain ownership of any content, submissions and other material they submit as part of this competition. However, entrants grant the Promoter (and its agents and affiliates) a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to use any such content, submissions and other material for the purposes of this competition and for a period of 12 months after the conclusion of the competition.
- The winner of each stage of the competition (in pub heats, regional finals and the national final) may be required to take part in publicity relating to this competition.
