The Goat was built by the local parish in 1695 as an ale house to raise money for education and support for the poor. Back then there were tunnels running from Kensington Palace and we were honoured to be a regal hideaway.
The Goat Tavern is a striking 18th century pub with original features and a beer garden in the heart of Kensington. Thanks to our golden goat effigy we’re incredibly easy to spot and just a few tube stops away from many of London’s major parks. Situated overlooking Kensington Palace, our pub is the ideal place to visit while enjoying the local sights or grabbing a bite to eat before a show at The Royal Albert Hall.
