In the meantime, here's everything we know about the 2029 Women's Rugby World Cup, including where it will be held, and which countries are participating.
Who is hosting the 2029 Women's Rugby World Cup?
The host nation in 2029 will be Australia, marking that country's first time hosting the Women's Rugby World Cup (it had previously been hosted by New Zealand in 2022). Australia is now officially the first country to host consecutive rugby world cups, as it will also be hosting the Men's Rugby World Cup in 2027.
Which countries are playing in the 2029 Women's Rugby World Cup?
Naturally, we'll be cheering on the England team, who are the defending champions after playing their way to victory in 2025, culminating in a 33-13 win against Canada in the 2025 final.
In addition to reigning champions England and host nation Australia, three other countries have already qualified to compete in the tournament out of an eventual 16: France, Canada, and New Zealand.
