Payday’s arrived, the evenings are stretching out a little longer, and suddenly staying in feels like a terrible use of both.
Right on cue, the Weekend Takeover is back at our pub. This is where we shift up a gear and become far more tempting than whatever plans were loosely floating around earlier in the week. Something is happening in every corner, whether that’s live sport drawing a crowd, a quiz turning competitive, or trying a classic Pimm's.
Pimm’s was first created in London in the 1840s by James Pimm and has since become closely associated with the British summer season. Pimm’s No.1 is a gin-based spirit drink, traditionally served with lemonade, fruit and mint.
All you really need to do is show up and settle in.
