GREENE KING LEISURE SPEND TRACKER REPORT - British household leisure spending down 6% as consumer confidence stagnates
A fall in consumer confidence is likely to be responsible for British households spending 6% less on leisure during September, the latest Greene King Leisure Spend Tracker reports. According to figures out today, household leisure spend was down £13 to £207 in September compared to the same month last year.

Inspired by growing consumer interest in specialist brews and an increasing thirst for new tastes, the first of a new range of beers from Greene King’s Metropolitan Brewing Company will be available exclusively in Tesco stores across the UK from 27 October 2014.

CHANGE OF CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Greene King today announces a change of chief financial officer. Matthew Fearn, Greene King’s chief financial officer, has been absent from work since February with a long-term illness. Matthew is still undergoing medical treatment and is regrettably not likely to be in a position to return to work for some time.

The latest Greene King Leisure Spend Tracker reports a 2% year-on-year rise in the amount British households spent on leisure during August. Household spend was up £5 to £247 on Total Leisure last month, driven by Eating Out.
