We aim to deliver long-term, sustainable improvement in returns, earnings and dividends, through growing our market share in the eating out, drinking out and staying markets within the UK.
This is being achieved by utilising and optimising our integrated model, encompassing: managed pubs, restaurants and hotels; tenanted, franchised and leased pubs; and two ale breweries in England and Scotland.
We are currently looking to:
- Expand our biggest and fastest growing business, Retail, to 1,100 pubs, restaurants and hotels by the end of the 2014/15 financial year
- Reduce the size of the our tenanted, franchised and leased estate, Pub Partners, to 1,200 sites by the end of the 2014/15 financial year
- Maintain our industry-leading levels of investment in our core ale brand portfolio, including Greene King IPA, Old Speckled Hen and Belhaven Best
Operationally, we optimise performance through a company-wide focus on delivering the best Value, Service and Quality (VSQ) in the industry, and improving our exposure to faster growing sales categories such as food, wine and coffee.
