Beer quality is at the heart of everything we do – from sourcing the best ingredients to ensuring all of our beers have been through our rigorous quality checks before leaving the brewery gates.
Cask Marque
The Cask Marque is a sign that appears outside pubs, guaranteeing that customers will get a great pint of cask ale inside. To achieve Cask Marque accreditation cask beers are assessed for temperature, appearance, aroma and taste. Many of our pubs have the Cask Marque sign and we continue to invest in this quality standard to help bring perfect pints of cask ale to our customers.
BRC certification
We were the first brewery in the UK to open our doors to an unannounced audit by the British Retail Consortium (BRC). The audit looked at the quality of ingredients and how we use by-products. We passed with flying colours, gaining a fantastic A* grade.
We've also achieved certification to the BRC Global Standard for brewing and packaging for four years in a row, demonstrating that our people and systems have made the grade. This means our quality standards are recognised independently, which is vital for our business, especially as supermarkets require all suppliers to meet this standard.
